Run the whole suite yourself

Goooy assumes you will run it yourself. One Helm chart brings up the API, the web app and every backing service on your own cluster, in whichever region you choose.

One Helm chart

The chart deploys the api and web tiers and can bundle PostgreSQL, Redis and MinIO (S3), or wire up your own managed Postgres, Redis and object store. Ingress path-routing, optional autoscaling, pod disruption budgets and scheduled database backups are built in.

The optional mail server

Flip one value and Goooy becomes the delivery hub for your domains: Postfix, Dovecot and Rspamd handle inbound mail, DKIM/SPF/DMARC and spam scoring, with IMAP and POP3 for native clients.

Bring your own everything

External database, external Redis, external S3, your own TURN server or Jitsi SFU for Meet. Every backing service is swappable so Goooy fits the infrastructure you already run.

Verified before you ship

The chart is validated with helm lint and helm template, and the application ships with end-to-end smoke suites covering real HTTP, WebSocket and IMAP flows across every module.

Many organisations, one deployment

Goooy is multi-tenant from the start: each organisation has its own domains, users, policy and branding while sharing the cluster. Where regulation demands more than row-level separation, move a tenant to its own PostgreSQL schema or its own database. The workers, protocol endpoints and mail delivery path all resolve tenants the same way.

Instrumented for the people on call

Prometheus metrics for the API, the background queues and the mail path, alert rules you can load as they are, structured logs, and an operations runbook that names the dashboards and the first three things to check. Scheduled backups, with a restore procedure that's written down rather than assumed.

Compatibility

Your team keeps the clients they like

Goooy speaks the native protocols, so the web app is one option among several.

  • Native Outlook for Windows over MAPI/HTTP
  • Exchange Web Services (EWS)
  • Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) for mobile
  • Autodiscover & autoconfig for one-tap setup
  • IMAP & POP3 for any mail client
  • CalDAV & CardDAV for calendars and contacts
  • Desktop Word, Excel & PowerPoint open and co-author documents in place (WebDAV & MS-FSSHTTP)
  • Apple Mail, Calendar and Contacts
  • Thunderbird and mobile

Data sovereignty

Your data stays where you put it

Because you host Goooy, you decide which country and which provider holds your mail, files and meetings, and nobody else gets a copy. There is no vendor telemetry siphoning your content, and no lock-in either: your data sits in a standard PostgreSQL database and an S3 bucket you control.

Deploy it on your own terms

Grab the Helm chart and docs on GitHub and stand up the whole suite yourself, or skip the setup and start on our hosting.
